MEET MO DOWER
Dedicated Leadership for House District 64

Mo Dower grew up the daughter of frugal, hard-working Depression-era parents in a suburb surrounded by farm fields. Her childhood was rooted in both rural agricultural values and a typical suburban lifestyle, running the neighborhood until nightfall while also milking cows on Christmas Eve. Her parents insisted that the children not complain about something without also providing a solution. That upbringing instilled a strong work ethic, an understanding of the balance between urban and rural communities, a practical mindset, and a passion for caring for humans and animals.

As a large animal veterinarian, Mo has spent her career working side by side with horse owners, farmers, and ranchers for routine care, and later as a nationwide subject matter expert helping solve complex medical problems requiring specialized veterinary expertise. It is demanding work that requires quick thinking, problem solving, and a steady approach in high-pressure situations. It is not about theory, it is about showing up and getting the job done.

Mo has carried that same mindset into her life at home and in her community. She is a wife, a mother, and someone who has spent her life raising her family here, closely connected to the people and values of Northern Colorado.

Her time serving as a Berthoud Trustee and Mayor Pro Tem gave her a deeper understanding of how decisions impact everyday people. It reinforced what she believes: leadership should be grounded, thoughtful, and focused on the community, not driven by personal gain or outside interests. Public servants should represent their constituents as fellow citizens, not be career politicians.
